On 7-8 of September, the No One Behind team took part our final meeting in beautiful Copenhagen hosted by the European E-learning Institute.

It was lovely to meet together face to face, share our updates and collaborate on the final steps of our project.

We are proud to announce that all of our materials on the project have been finalised and published.  You can find them on our project website https://www.no1behind.org/ on the Results section.

Our fruitful partnership is coming to an end, but we hope to continue our collaboration and enthusiasm for educational access throughout Europe for years to come!

The main objective of this activity was to improve the participants’ professional competences so that they can support the adults who will participate in the multiplication events, especially on the use of the educational game developed within the project, which was tested during the training.

Inova+ also organised the visit with Cesae Digital – Centro para o Desenvolvimento de Competências Digitais, one of Portugal’s most important centres dedicated to the qualification, certification, and technical improvement of professionals and candidates to professions and the valorisation of entrepreneurial capacity.

It was very important to understand their work and to present them with the work carried out by the partners within the project, in a fruitful exchange of ideas and impressions.

On 2-3 March 2022, the No One Behind consortium travelled to Piraeus, Greece to organize the third transnational meeting of the project, a project coordinated by the North-East Regional Development Agency and funded with the support of the European Commission.

The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the results obtained in the first year of implementation and to establish the activities foreseen for the second year. The partners have finalized the deadlines for the next transnational meetings, learning activities and events.

Currently, the project team focuses on internal testing and validation of the educational online game. This game includes a set of practical applications, designed based on the theoretical aspects available in the course support. Thus, the trainees will be able to test their acquired knowledge and will be able to practically deepen various topics of interest in the IT field.

The event successfully achieved its objectives and the meeting had a very important role in evaluating the progress and quality of the results obtained within the project.

The main objective of the No One Behind project is to train rural adults to acquire digital skills and competences, through an innovative approach that will facilitate teaching and learning processes, through an online educational game that will be available free of charge until the end of September 2022.

To date, the following teaching and research materials have been developed:

The project partners are: North-East Regional Development Agency (Romania) – partnership leader, Eurocrea Merchant (Italy), Inova+ Innovation Services (Portugal), ECO LAND Local Development Association (Romania), IDEC (Greece), European E-learning Institute (Denmark), Atermon B.V. (Netherlands).

The first presentation was led by our special guest who is a teacher, researcher and specialist in adult education: Dina Soeiro. Dina provided us with some figures and important information about literacy, whether digital, financial and literacy in general among Portuguese people and Europeans. It was highlighted that some projects in Portugal have been working on enhancing literacy levels and it is important to take information to rural areas, where population is often excluded.

The No One Behind project team presented the two main results published so far: the innovative methodology and the training manual. The audience learned about the potential of these documents in supporting the development of training courses in digital literacy but also as support materials for people who autonomously want to develop these skills.

In order to illustrate one of the activities described in the training manual, the project team challenged participants to answer a quiz related to information online and this was a dynamic and fun moment.

At the end of the event, there was time for a very interesting discussion about the resources needed across the country to enhance the digital literacy of citizens living in rural areas.

We take this opportunity to thank all professionals attending the event and all the valuable contributions.

During the event the participants analyzed and validated the methodology and training materials developed so far, through a pilot training session and a series of applied exercises.

The participants had the opportunity to interact with the trainers and to deepen topics of interest that they consider vital in their digital activity.

The event was hosted by Ana Paraschiv, Head of Office of the Regional Studies Center within NERDA  and Madalina Chirtes,  Expert, Projects and Partnerships Office within NERDA. The event was attended  by over 50 people – representatives of local public authorities, local associations,  trainers and adults from the target group.
